About Course

“Dao is virtually a path to be taken with one principle, which is: a human is just like an animal but with a slight difference. The difference is Heaven’s Nature. When a person fulfils Heaven’s Nature they are humane, without it they are not. Every sage in history treasured this slight difference and its meaning for humanity.”  Liu Yuan 19th century. In Learning The Simple Things the student explores three Huai Xuan texts: The Long Arduous Way of Learning the Simple Things 下學梯航, Yu Cheng Tang Family Precepts 豫誠堂家訓 and Learning the Sage’s Capacity for Forgiveness 學聖人局量 – with translation and explanations by Dr Yaron Seidman.
